As Niwot marks its 150th anniversary, join us for a conversation with Representatives from the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes. We look forward to listening to and learning from:

• Mr. Fred Mosqueda, Southern Arapaho Outreach Specialist and Sand Creek Massacre Representative
• Mr. Chester Whiteman, Southern Cheyenne Outreach Specialist and Sand Creek Massacre Representative

Join us for this unique community event – sponsored by the Niwot Cultural Arts Association and the Niwot Local Improvement District – to:

• Welcome Mr. Mosqueda and Mr. Whiteman’s histories, cultures and perspectives into Niwot’s continuing community history.
• Listen to their experiences in building relationships with Niwot-area residents.

• Explore how the Niwot community can build a meaningful relationship with the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes for the next 150 years.

• Honor Hinono’ei neecee Nowoo3 (Southern Arapaho Chief Niwot / Left Hand) – Niwot’s namesake – who was dedicated to fostering mutual understanding and respect.

• Tom Myer, Native artist of Haudenosaunee and Ngäbe-Buglé descent. He is a Niwot community member.
• Phillip Yates, Niwot community member who has worked with the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes and Mr. Mosqueda and Mr. Whiteman.

Admission
While tickets are free, we encourage a suggested donation of $15 (per person) to support this and future programs with Arapaho and Cheyenne Tribal Representatives. Register and consider providing a donation through the event Eventbrite page.

Accessibility

Niwot Hall’s main floor hall and restroom facilities are all in compliance with accessibility guidelines. We have reserved all chairs available at the Niwot Hall (65). Please come early to have a chair. Some participants may have to stand. We will have several chairs reserved for people experiencing mobility issues.
